Ingredients of Coconut Vanilla Face and Body Moisturizer

Coconut : The main ingredient in this product;the coconut has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Besides being an excellent anti-aging ingredient, the moisturizing properties in coconut helps make the skin look radiant and supple.

Vanilla: It too has anti-ageing properties besides, help soothe the skin.

Grape seed oil: The oil is full of antioxidants that do good to face and body.

My experience of the product: I have a sensitive skin which is prone to redness and irritation if I try something new on it. So when GlamAroma sent me this product for review, before applying it directly on my face, I first did a patch test . Satisfied, I started using it first on my body and then face. It’s been a month since I am using it and can now comfortably give you my feedback.

First thing first, The moisturizer does  a great job in keep the skin hydrated for a long time. Since the formulation is aqua-based, it sinks quickly into the skin, without leaving any trace of oiliness. I need only pea-sized amount for my face and neck and I am done looking fresher for next 6-7 hours. The fragrance is another feature which I really liked about this product; it has a right combination of the smell of coconut and vanilla which is not at all overpowering. Still I would suggest if you have extra sensitive skin which reacts to fragrance, you might want to use this product only on body and avoid face (or do a patch test first), just to be on safer side.

Another good feature: Since the product comes in a pump bottle, it becomes easy to take out the required amount , without any wastage. Also you can lock the bottle by turning it clockwise , making it an ideal choice to carry during travels.

Texture: Its creamy and whitish in color which though has thick consistency, is super lightweight and absorbs quickly.

Price: The 200 ml bottle is priced at Rs. 399. I would say it’s a bang for your buck since the moisturizer can be used both for face and body.

Cons: The only drawback is it doesn’t have SPF, but then it won’t remain a “chemical-free” product, Isn’t it?

Available online at the brand’s website.

Would I recommend: Definitely, go for it.

Now that the moisturizer is all sorted out, how about we talk about a face serums which are the latest addition to my  skincare regime.

But first, what exactly are serums: In simple terms serums can be defined as a product made of powerful ingredients which seeps deep into your skin , targeting specific problem, like wrinkles, acne ,open pores etc. They have watery, runny essence and absorbs quickly in to the skin.

Let me introduce you to GlamAroma 24 Karat gold night and day serum.

Main ingredients and its benefits:

  1. Gold: Gold infused skin care products works wonder for your skin. The metal helps calming your flared up skin, fights against wrinkles, helps reduce fine lines and spots and increases the elasticity of the skin.
  2. Rosehip Seed Oil: Rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids, this oil not only moisturizes the skin but helps reduce scar and fine lines too.
  3. Orange Peel:  Act as a natural bleach by helping remove unwanted tan. It also helps treat Acne cycle.

My experience:

Obviously for this also I did a skin patch test before applying ; this is to ensure my skin doesn’t react adversely to this new product. Here I must add that when I applied this serum on my face , it did not itch, unlike other essential oils I tried. So, this is a great pro for me.

Another beautiful thing about the product is the way the flakes of real gold come out along with the liquid serum as you press the dropper; it makes you feel like a Cleopatra who is rumored to have her face covered in gold mask in order to maintain her youthful skin. I use just 3-4 drops of this serum and apply directly on my clean face which are  enough to moisturize the whole face properly. The gold flakes immediately sinks into the skin , leaving a soft and supple skin.

Though not yet seen any drastic difference, since using it only for 3 weeks, but I must say I have noticed ( and started getting compliments too) a slight good change in the texture of my skin; its clearer and gives a light glossy sheen on the face upon application.

When I  go out, I apply this serum first and after a few minutes the sunscreen. You can apply your moisturizer too, if required after applying the serum.

It comes in dropper style packaging which makes it easy to use and carry during travels. Do shake the bottle properly before use, since the gold flakes settle at the bottom. The serum has a subtle smell, which goes off after a few minutes.

Price wise, though this skin potion is on a higher side, but it’s worth every penny. Moreover since only 2-3 drops are required, it lasts long.

I am planning to use it consistently to see remarkable change in the skin texture.
