It may come as a surprise to many people but I’ve not had any help at home for cleaning or cooking even when things began to normalize. I’ve been doing it all on my own and that becomes a little hectic, especially with my work.
Balancing out my schedule between family, children’s school/exam work, and my content creation assignments/shoots can be hectic.
Amidst all of this sometimes cleaning takes a back seat, cleaning the kitchen sink to be more specific.
To keep a kitchen looking fresh, clean and aesthetic it requires regular cleaning. Whether it is our sink, countertop, gas stove, chimney or tiles, they all need to be cleaned regularly. But for me, while I clean the countertop daily, I often skip cleaning the sink, assuming that it gets cleaned while we do the dishes or wash our hands. I do clean it several times a day, but with plain water.
Why kitchen sink needs regular cleaning
- Since the sink is a high use area, it can accumulate unpleasant stains. The oil, food residue, and other stains get accumulated, dulling the shine and is a real turnoff, hence the sink needs to be kept clean with the toughest stain remover.
- If not cleaned regularly, the sink not only accumulates stains but bacteria, germs and viruses too. The stains and the gunk provide an active hotbed for the microbes to breed, which is not something we want in our kitchen or anywhere!
- Regularly cleaning will help you avoid the daunting task of cleaning the pesky stains after a long gap. To avoid muscle aches, one needs to clean the sink regularly.
How do I keep the sink clean with the toughest stain remover?
I am a person who is very finicky about cleanliness; especially in the kitchen. The kitchen is my domain and while I love cooking, as I mentioned cleaning takes more time. And if you have your kids and others at home trying out dishes and using the sink but forgetting to clean, you can very well imagine the task I have in hand to keep the sink clean. And to do the job I require the toughest stain remover.
Come Cif cream, the toughest stain remover, that helps me in 100% cleaning of the difficult stains safely.
I take a small amount of Cif cream on a damp sponge and use it directly over the stains without diluting. This toughest stain remover forms foams with light rubbing which makes the cleaning process much easier. Once done, I rinse the sink thoroughly and wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
I use the product to clean the tap and the tiles around the sink too. The oil stains in my sink are the toughest to clean but Cif cream, being the toughest stain remover does the job of cleaning this area amazingly well.
The creamy texture of Cif contains 100% natural cleaning particles that penetrate and remove the pesky stains and grime build-up in my sink completely. I have also noticed that the creamy formulation requires less rinsing too, so I get the perfect shiny clean sink right away.

My genuine take on Cif Surface Cleaner Cream
Since I wanted a cleaner that would require less muscle work to keep my sink squeaky clean, I zeroed in on Cif Surface Cleaner Cream which has the power to remove grease, dirt and stains with its natural cleaning particles.
The bottle comes in 500ml packaging, and one can choose from three different fragrances- lemon, pink flower and original. I love the lemony smell, so bought the bottle with lemon fragrance online.
The long slim squeezable plastic bottle is designed in a way that makes it easy to hold while you do the job of cleaning. The label on the bottle has images of a bathtub, kitchen stove and faucet that clearly indicate the areas the product can be used. Another likeable feature is the flip-top cap that makes it easy to open and reseal the bottle repeatedly with one hand only. The flip-top cap combined with the small nozzle on the top makes the dispensing quite convenient.
I use Cif once a week to clean my sink, though it’s safe enough to use every day or whenever required. It does not have any nasty chemicals and is made of natural cleaners only. A tiny squirt of this toughest stain remover is all I need to completely remove all kinds of ugly dirt – even those that seem impossible to clean.
Since Cif cream is scented with refreshing lemon, it leaves a pleasant smell after the cleaning is done.
I have been using this toughest stain remover for quite some time now and can safely say no other product has given me such satisfaction as Cif gives. It cleans my sink perfectly and after every use, it glows like a new one.
Where else to use Cif, the toughest stain remover
Cif is a multipurpose surface cleaner that can be used as a kitchen cleaner to clean hobs, sinks, and kitchen tiles, as well as a bathroom cleaner, to clean bathtubs, sinks, and bathroom tiles. I like the fact that, unlike other strong cleaners, Cif doesn’t damage the surface. All it does is make the surface squeaky clean while leaving a pleasant lemony smell. That’s not it, you can safely use the product to clean the marble surface.
A word of caution
- Cif surface cleaner cream is not suitable to use on linoleum, leather, or textiles, and should be avoided on wood and aluminium too.
- It’s recommended to do a patch test before using Cif cream on delicate surfaces and materials, painted surfaces, and aluminium. While doing so, rinse immediately after use, and avoid heavy rubbing.
With the toughest stain cleaner Cif surface cleaner cream at hand, maintaining my kitchen sink is now not as challenging as before. The product manages to remove the lingering stains and tackles the problem of a smelly sink too well.
